supervisor Fete Luke chaired the meeting, at which the sewer and water problems were discussed. In Luke’s introduction he stressed the need for a citizens organization which could speak with one voice on the sewer problem, and which can work closely with county and state authorities.
Dr. R.S. LeGarde, the District Health Officer, followed .Supervisor Luke on the program and agreed that a local organization was necessary. He also concurred in the need for the most simple and least expensive solution to the sewer problem.
Dr. LeGarde said both the County and District Health Departments would work closely with the local citizens organization and that the State Water Control Board would cooperate.
