INEXPERIENCED woodsmen aren’t the only dangers facing hunters when deer season opens November 19.
Early morning driving and frightened animals can create problems too, notes John T. Hanna, director, Highway Safety Division of Virginia.
“Most hunters leave home early in the morning to get a head start,’’Hanna said. “This allows more hunting time, but sometimes puts motorists behind the wheel before ‘they are fully awake and alert.”
