“We requested $4,644 from Rappahannock. Orange gave us $12, 500, Culpeper $18,000 and Fauquier $54,000. We’re requesting $8,200 from Madison and i have every reason to believe we’ll get that. Our total operating budget is around $500,000 for all five counties, and we have to raise $87,000 of that from local sources.”
“Roughly, it comes out to 91 cents per capita,” Schwemer said. “For Fauquier, it’s approximately $2 per capita. They contribute at a higher rate because many of our facilities are in that county and they have access to more services. But we hope to start sending more services out, such as the speech therapist that comes to Rappahannock one day a week.”
