AS SOON as the site plan is approved by the executive committee of the Recreation Association, bids will be advertised and ground will be broken. “If you have any suggestions,’’ says Eastham, “this might be the last opportunity to make them known. I’d like to see everybody in the county at the meeting next Tuesday.”
Financing of the center is proceding on schedule. The first increment of a $15,000 grant from the State Urban Assistance Incentive Fund has been received by the County Treasurer, and a fund raising drive is currently underway soliciting tax deductible donations from county residents. “The sooner everybody gets behind this drive, the sooner the Center can become a reality,” says Eastham. □
