Christmas party
The annual Christmas Party for the children will be held on Frichy, December 20, 1974, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., complete with Santa Claus, carols, and refreshments. Elementary school children as well as pre-schoolers are invited.
The library will be closed for the holidays from December 23 through New Year’s Day, reopening January 2. Look for announcements about winter programs at the library. □

tour of Pacific
Navy Radioman First Class George L. Howe Jr., whose wife Lydia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earle Van Doren of Route 1, Boston, has returned to Alameda, Cal. aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Ranger after a six-month tour in the Western Pacific.
The ship operated from Subic Bay in the Philippines as a component of the U.S. Seventh Fleet
