AND LOCAL experience has shown that an easement that prohibits further subdivision of a plat—to give one example of what an easement can accomplish—does not adversely affect the desirability of that property on the market place. It just stops that eternal cutting up process which has destroyed so many landscapes already in Northern Virginia. Here’s hoping the scenic easement idea continues to catch on in the Piedmont, and throughout Virginia. □
