VIRGINIA’S forest resources will be inventoried for the fourth time since the first survey was conducted in 1940. The 1966 survey pointed out the imbalance of cut over growth in the yellow pine species. The 1975 survey will be extremely helpful in short and long range planning, especially in the reforestation aspects of the forestry program and will provide vital information for Virginia’s and the nation’s forest industries in planning plant expansion or plant relocation, said State Forester W.F.
