LUKE SAID he understood that several surrounding counties hold a separate hearing on the school budget. Montague said he didn’t know of any counties where that is done. Commonwealth’s Attorney George Davis said the responsibility for public hearings on the budget rests with the Supervisors; the school board is not bound to host a hearing, he said.
