June Jordan of the Fodderstack Pottery, Washington, Va. will be featured as artisan of the month at Antiques & Artisans in Georgetown each weekend Saturday and Sunday, during the month of April, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
She will take her potter’s wheel to Georgetown and demonstrate her craft as well as exhibit and sell her wares which include, mugs, jugs, vases, pitchers, bird forms and many others.
She is one of the area’s top potters and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts from the University of Georgia. She studied for three summers under Marguerite Wildenham at her famous Pond Farm Workshop in Guerneville, Cal.
She opened the Fodderstack Pottery in 1965 in one of the oldest buildings in the town.D
