that the road has four school bus routes and several mail routes. Captain Howard Holschuh asked that steps -be taken to protect Route 626 “south of the river” from flooding.
SUPERVISOR Herbert Foster asked that attention be given to Routes 637, 630 and 610 in his district. Supervisor Richard Latham introduced a resolution, which the Supervisors adopted, asking the Highway Department to give high priority to the construction of Route 211 through Amissville.
Rappahannock’s Supervisors directed Registrar Mary Cleverley to write all the voters who have been “purged” from the voting list and inform them of that action. Supervisor Clarence Baldwin was especially anxious that the purged voters be notified. “It’s a new law,” he said. “And a lot of people don’t realize they’ve been taken off the list.” State law requires that all voters who have not vot- ' ed at least once in any election in the past four years must be removed from the list of registered voters, until they register again. Mrs. Cleverley said 307 Rappahannock voters have been removed. Baldwin thought the list of purged voters might be published. Mrs. Cleverley said a notice had already been in the paper. But Baldwin thought the voters should be listed by name. Commonwealth Attorney George Davis said “some might not want their names published.”
Mrs. Cleverley said publishing the list would be an added expense for the electoral board. It would also be expensive to mail notices to each of the purged voters. Supervisor Herbert Foster thought mailing notices to each of the voters was a better solution than publishing the list. The Supervisors
