Eastham, Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. L. B. Burford, Mrs. Lewis Moore, Jr., Mrs. J. R. Latham, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. B. J. Wood, Mrs. J. S. Browning and Mrs. Tom Massie. Prizes were awarded Mrs. James Massie, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Spalding and Mrs. Eastham.□

Cost to the Virginia Highway Department for picking up litter in 1973-74 from the State’s highways amounted to $1,207,988, an increase of $187,100 over the previous year, the Department reported.

In the Culpeper District, which includes Northern Virginia Counties, the total cost for cleaning up both primary and secondary roads amounted to $203,247.30, the Department reported.

The total cost of cleaning roads in Fauquier County amounted to $9,501.63; the cost was $17,132.14 in Loudoun County; $25,355.90 in Prince William County, and $9,149. 25 in Rappahannock County. □
