The Town of Washington has received a letter from Washington, N C inviting the town to enter a float or car in its Bicentennial parade scheduled for August 19i6. The letter noted that Washington, N C was the first and oldest Washington. Mrs. Virginia Miller Treasurer of Washington, Va. said they should reply to the invitation on their stationery which has imprinted, Washington Va., The First Washington Of AH.
