A NATIONAL survey indicates that Virginia’s private woodland owners are among the leaders in the nation in forest tree planting and preparing areas for natural regeneration of forest trees, says Wallace F. Custard, State. Forester, Virginia Division of Forestry.
The survey for the fiscal year 1974 shows that Virginia’s private woodland landowners planted trees on more than 47,000 acres.
