CATTLE—Feeder cattle prices advanced during the week ended May 8 as slaughter steer and heifer prices returned to the high levels of late summer 1973. Feeder receipts totaled 33,200 head and accounted for 67 per cent of the total receipts for the week. This compares with 34,200 head and 64 per cent of a week earlier.
