A native of Lowell, Mass., she worked for a number of years as a draftsman for the United States Government.

She was the daughter of the late Alfred Gilman. Jr. and the late Carrie Dora Davis Gilman and the widow of Bradley Hawks Patterson.

She lived in Woodville from 1957 to 1968. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and was formerly a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, Va.

She is survived by one son, Bradley H. Patterson, Jr. of Bethesda, Md.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. □
