Burke
Wood Burke of Luray died February 26, 1977, at Page Memorial Hospital. He was 61, born July 5, 1915 in Washington, the son of the late Joshua Emanuel and Ada Virginia Fincham Burke. He was retired from FMC Viscose plant in Front Royal.
He is survived by his wife, Rena Mae Bennett; two sons, Richard A. and James E. Burke; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Elaine Moyer and Mrs. Laura Denise Good, all of Luray.
Additional survivors are two brothers, Ora M. Burke of Manassas and Bryant E. Burke of Luray; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Mahaffey of Wisconsin, Mrs. Ada Mae Coppage of Warrenton, Mrs. Reba B. Coppage of Culpeper and Mrs. Gertrude B. Clatterbuck of Sperry ville; and six grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted February 28 at the Bradley Funeral Home by Elder John Bradley and the Rev. Roger Baker. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington. □
