Miss Melody Kay Green became the bride of Carroll Ray Settle on February 27, .1977 at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Green at Amissville. The Rev. Ray Crockett performed the ceremony at two o’clock. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Janie Settle of Rixeyville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal beige gown designed with long sleeves and a high neckline with a lace dickey. Her flowers were a bouquet of white carnations and yellow roses.
Mrs. Hazel Edwards was matron of honor and Chick Edwards acted as best man. They are from Bealeton.
A reception followed with a buffet and traditional wedding cake. The couple will reside in an apartment at the bride’s home.
Mr. Settle is employed with Tolson’s Appliances in Warrenton and Mrs. Settle is an employee with the Hecht Co. in Manassas.
