Candidates in the Democratic primary for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general wind up six months of intensive campaigning this weekend. The winners in the polltaking Tuesday will be the nominees of the party in the general election in November. Republican nominees who were elected in convention Saturday are urging their supporters to stay home Tuesday.
The Democratic candidates are:
FOR GOVERNOR, Henry Evans Howell and Andrew Pickens Miller.
LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR: Ira Lechner, Richard “Major” Reynolds and Charles “Chuck” Robb.
