Mrs. Arlon E. Parks was in Spencerville, Md. Sunday afternoon to attend a shower in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pool, for Miss Pat Reese and Richard Finneil, Mrs. Parks’ grandson. An August wedding is planned.
Report on the ill: Mrs. Marie Williams remains in Warren Memorial Hospital following her admission Friday; Dicky Williams, in the same hospital has a favorable report; after two weeks’ stay Golden Sealock came home Wednesday from Washington Hospital Center where he underwent surgery and is reported doing satisfactorily; Mrs. Howard Cheney is also making progress healthwise, since her stay in Winchester Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Timmy Williams and Mr. and Mrs. David J. Williams of Front Royal spent the weekend in Atlantic City. Tim, Jeffery and Craig Williams remained with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Williams, while their parents were away.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kirby of Warrenton visited Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Atkins Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Drennan and Katie of Aurora, Colo, spent two days recently with Mrs. Drennan’s sister, Mrs. James Fox and Mr. Fox. During their stay, Bud Drennan, James Fox and Gene Lillard went deep sea fishing off the Maryland shore. Other guests in the Fox home included Donna Killian and son, Stephen of Alexandria, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Winter of Manassas.
Mrs. Katherine Earley hosted an Aircraft Bee in her home Friday evening. The 12 guests included: Mrs. Joyce Washington of Bluemont, a counselor; Mrs. Larry (Sue) Lauder and daughter formerly of Huntly and Front Royal but now of Cherry Point, N. C.; and Mrs. Julie Curry and Mrs. Charles Earley Sr., both of Front Royal.
