The Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) office will register beef producers June 6-17 to vote on the beef research and information order.
If over half of registered producers vote in the referendum and two-thirds of those voting approve the order, the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a beef board, composed of not more than 68 beef producers, from names submitted by producer organizations. The

H. T. “Tony’* Lucas, a graduate of Rappahannock County High School, has been elected president of the Charlotte, N.C., Association of Life Underwriters for the 1977 and 1978 term. Lucas is district manager of the Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company in Charlotte.
