Luke added that the advertised tax rate of $4 per 5100 of assessed value would hold if the ten per cent salary increase requested by all county constitutional officers was also granted by the Compensation Board. “I think the Sheriff needs another deputy but I’ll stand by a part-time secretary since that is what he had before,” said Luke.
