The annual pit-cooked barbecue sponsored by the Amissville Ruritan Club is scheduled for this Saturday, July 1 at the Amissville carnival grounds from 5 to 9 p.m. The pit has been dug and prepared for the succulent beef which will be cooked over a bed of coals all night Friday and up until serving time Saturday.
The accompanying menu includes vegetables, salad, drink and dessert and is $5 for adults; $2.50 for children; al’ you can eat. Please join us, said Ruritan president, T. C. Barron.
