Pomeroy
Mrs. Oakey Melinda Pomeroy, 88, of Front Royal died June 21, 1978, in Winchester Memorial Hospital. Graveside rites were conducted Friday morning at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal by the Rev. John P. Oliver, Jr.
Daughter of the late John S. Dodson and Cora Alice Yancey, Mrs. Pomeroy was born in Sperryville on January 16, 1890. She was the wife of the late Madison H. Pomeroy.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harland Derflinger of Front Royal; two step-daughters; one sister, Siney Atkins of Flint Hill and two grandchildren.
Clark
Graveside services for Aubrey Clark, 59, of Vienna were conducted Saturday morning at Stonewall Memorial Gardens in Manassas.
Mr. Clark died Thursday morning in Fairfax Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Flint Hill, he was the son of Mattie Clark of Washington, Va., and the late Omer Clark.
Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs Gladys Moore of Arlington, Mrs. Lucille Blosser of New Market and Mrs. Rosa Payne of Washington, Va.
