All Division of Motor Vehicle offices and driver's testing stations will be closed Tuesday. July 4 in observance of Independence Day. The rest of the week offices will be open from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday. Wednesday and Friday, and from 10:00 to b:00 on Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chris R. Lanier of Barnesville, Ga. announce the birth of a daughter. Kristy Lynn, on June 12, 1978 in Griffin Spalding Hospital. Griffin, Ga. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don Russell of Statesboro. Ga. Arthur H. Hitt of Culpeper is the infant's maternal grandfather. Mrs. Lanier is the former Linda Hitt and a 1964 graduate of Rappahnnock County High School.
