rum iu 17JU, me loll House property changed hands between C. W. Keyser, Mahlon Ramey and J. W. Ramey. W. C. Campbell owned the property from 1921 to 1934. It was then part of a farm that included the Hampton Inn, the Washington Packing House, the Gibson Wharton house and farm, the Gark House and George Rosenbaum’s house and orchard. W. C. (Curtis) Campbell bought the Toll House from a John A. Browning in 1921.
During the period of 18971921, the property was owned by several parties including D. B. Folty of Rockbridge County. H. C. Risk, A. W. Dearing and John A. Dearing.
