Miss Terri LuCynthia Leake and Richard Lee Settle were married at the Chester Gap Baptist Mission on April 28, 1979. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leake of Chester Gap and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Settle of Flint Hill.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Alford in the Chester Gap Baptist Mission which was decorated with arrangements of lilacs, yellow mums, dutch iris, baby’s breath, palms and lighted candelabra.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white organza over taffeta. The bodice and sheer sleeves were appliqued with venise lace. Her veil of illusion fell from a head piece covered with venise lace and seed pearls. She carried a cascade of white sweetheart roses and baby’s breath centered with a pale green cymbidium orchid.
Miss Cheryl Settle of Flint Hill, the bridegroom’s sister, was maid of honor. Her gown was pink organza with embossed flocked daisies. It was fashioned on Empire lines with puffed sleeves and lace trimming. She carried a bouquet of yellow and white silk daisies with streamers to complement her gown.
Miss Patty Williams of Chester Gap and Miss Hollie Holbick of Front Royal were bridesmaids. Their gowns, yellow and green respectively, were styled identically with that of the honor attendant. Their flowers were yellow and white daisies, also.
Terry Fritts of Washington served as best man and ushers were Bryan Welch of Flint Hill and Harry Newlin of Sperryville.
Jennifer Heflin of Front Royal was flower girl. Her gown was pink, fashioned like the other attendants. Tony and Jeff Leake, brothers of the bride, were ring bearers.
The bride’s mother chose a blue gown and the bridegroom’s mother wore rose. Each had a corsage of white silk carnations.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church social hall. Hostesses were Mrs. Mary Williams of Manassas, aunt of the bride; Miss Tammy Settle of Flint Hill, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Norma Jean Williams and Mrs. Nora Sealock of Chester Gap. Miss Donna

The young adult choir of Macedonia Baptist Church, Flint Hill will present a gospel song festival at the Union Hall on Chester Street, Front Royal Saturday, June 9 at 7 p.m.
