Atkins
A graveside funeral service for Burnam Hudson Atkins, 68, of Washington was held Tuesday at the Washington Masonic Cemetery conducted by the Rev. David Moore.
Mr. Atkins died Saturday, June 2, 1979, at his residence after a short illness. He was the son of the late Jack and Treva Clater Atkins and was a laborer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sallie J. Atkins of Washington; four daughters, Mrs. Bobby Wilson Atkins of Sperryville, Mrs. C. Warren Foster, Mrs. Roy E. Berry and Miss Mary Lee Atkins, all of Washington; and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers, J. Hill Atkins and Roy R. Atkins, both of Sperryville, Levi Atkins, Amissville and Elmer Atkins of Flint Hill; five sisters, Mrs. Jonas Jenkins of Washington, Mrs. Hencil Dodson and Mrs. Frank Atkins, both of Sperryville, Mrs. John Atkins and Mrs. Ellis Atkins, both of Linden.
Pallbearers were Buddy Darnell, C. E. Giles Jr., Jonas R. Jenkins Jr., Lynn Atkins, Levi Atkins Jr., Elmer Atkins, Charies R. Jenkins, Roger Atkins and Jack Jenkins.
