In ceremonies on Friday, Rappahannock County High School students were honored for outstanding achievement during the 1978-79 school year.
Business teacher Giselle Jordan presented the typing award to Natalie Swindler and the shorthand award to Karen Welch.
Sharon Scott received the ninth grade English award for highest average, Janine Bloomer the high average award for eighth grade English and Todd Tylek the high average award for sociology, all presented by English teacher Roger FI inchum.
Math and art teacher Don Bomberger gave the trigonometry award to Julia Gordon, the algebra award to Jennifer Raney and the art award to Joyce Foster. In addition, Bomberger cited Terry Woodward, Liz Freeman and Chris Hitt for outstanding performances in the RCHS presentation of “My Fair Lady.” James LeSuer awarded the high departmental average in industrial arts to Kenny Norman and Doug Nichols.
