How can the students appreciate and respect a school, where they spend six or seven hours a day in conditions like I witnessed. The floors were disgraceful, only one water fountain working in the whole school, broken windows and doors, knee high grass in places on the lawn, only to name a few things. Seeing what I did, I had no desire to enter the rest rooms or shower rooms, but I’m sure they are eye sores too.
Food was left lying all over the cafeteria floor after lunch and the afternoon classes just treaded through it. Answer this please, Why? Oh Why? does the janitor have to work in the cafeteria handling food when the school has four paid workers to do the job? Well, I certainly did go for a visit but it turned out to be an inspection tour. We have fond memories of the principal and teachers with whom we worked and in our collections are many pictures of RCHS in her better days. As a taxpayer it’s an unanswered question, ‘‘Where is our money going”?
