8. Judges Retire
Judges from both the circuit and general district court announced their retirement in 1979.
Rayner V. Snead will leave Hhe 20th Judicial Circuit early
Vin 1980 after presiding in ■Rappahannock, Loudoun and Fauquier Courts for almost 27 years. With Snead gone. Rappahannock will no longer have a resident judge. The local bar association as well as the associations in Fauquier and Loudoun counties have endorsed Warrenton attorney Shore Robertson as Snead's replacement.
