“He’s as familiar with our zoning and subdivision ordinances as any lay person in this county,” remarked fellow planner J. Newbill Miller. He added that Barksdale attends every BZA meeting without fail even though he’s not a voting member of that body. "He’s been in public life for all these years and there's no hate, against him. Everyone respects the man,” Miller said.
