Jacobs
Funeral services for Mrs. Everlee Amiss Jacobs, 81, of Fairfax, formerly of Viewtown, were conducted Sunday at Amissville Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph S. Stirman Jr. and the Rev. Arthur Herron. Burial was at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
Mrs. Jacobs died Thursday, October 1, 1981 at Washington Adventist Hospital. She was a native of Rappahannock County, the daughter of Richard W. and Lucy V. Jenkins Racer. She was a member of Amissville Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles H. Hackley of Fairfax; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Fincham of Sperryville and Mrs. Virginia Payne of Washington, and one brother, Clarence Racer of Harrisonburg.
Southard
William Franklin Southard. 66, of Rixeyville died Thursday, October 1, 1981 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Clore Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John K. Burke Jr. Burial was at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
Southard, a native of Culpeper, was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways. His parents were the late William and Lily Strother Southard.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pauline S. Potts of Hamilton, Ohio and Mrs. Barbara Jean Gainey of Big Stone Gap; two sons, William F. Southard of Cincinnati, Ohio and David R. Southard of Culpeper; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wade of Morrisville and Mrs. Lucy Mae Carrick of Lanham. Md.; and four brothers, John Southard of Eggbornsville. Walter Southard of Culpeper. George Southard of Bryons Road and Jack Southard of Castleton.
Jenkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Virgie Bell Jenkins of Culpeper were conducted Saturday at the GeestJohnson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William Lancaster. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Mrs. Jenkins, 80, widow of Robert E. Jenkins, died Thursday, October 1, 1981 at the residence of Paul Karnes, a nephew whom she raised, in Culpeper.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of Daniel O. and Kate Settle Coughlin. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Oscar Coughlin of Culpeper and Elmer Coughlin of Washington, D. C.; and two sisters. Mrs. Mercie Thornhill and Mrs. Bessie Guinn, both of Culpeper.
