Luke said that the Association will continue to sponsor events such as the art show and block dance, but that one of the main purposes for R A AC’s formation was to provide a center where the Rappahannock Players can stage their popular plays; where the Rappahannock Chorus and the Last Minute Wood Company can hold rehearsals and performances; where regular movies can be shown; and where meetings, dances, and conferences can be held.
Luke added that, at the time RAAC was formed, discussions had indicated that it might be possible to obtain the use of the old Washington school now owned by Mr. William Carrigan for such a center.
