The Louis Moore family of Flint Hill also grows peaches, harvesting “ten or eleven varieties ', according to Mrs. Moore. The Moores market their peaches locally but do not offer a pick-your-own service. Some varieties available are Georgia Belle, Madison and Sun Bright as well as Red Haven. Mrs. Moore said that they also have plums for sale at their farm on the Fodderstack Road. She said that the peach harvest is “not as heavy as last year, but they have done all right."
