On Tuesday, Brown was back with scaled down plans. Dropped from the proposal were the extra vehicle maintenance bay and the lift, although the architect noted that he would never suggest a vehicle maintenance facility without a vehicle lift unless specifically instructed by the board to do so. The square footage in the bus shop was reduced to 2,450 and the office to 1,872, leaving the total about 100 square feet more than the area shown in Lane’s original drawing.
To meet code requirements, Brown said, he increased the square footage in the bathrooms to meet handicapped needs and added a janitor’s sink.
