Miss Brenda Printz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Printz of Amissville, was the winner of second place in the 4H talent contest held in connection with the Culpeper Farm Show. She was awarded $15 for her placement in the Show.

and Amissville. was convicted on four charges, including one of first degree murder in Rappahannock County Circuit Court. The 12-person jury recommended a total of 51 years in a penal institution for the crimes. The charges of murder, robbery, statutory burgularly and grand larceny charges all stemmed from the killing of John Swan Sutton.
The Rappahannock National Bank presented awards to the local youths who were winners in the Culpeper Farm Show. David Thornhill received a savings bond for $50, Melanie Thornhill received a $25 bond and Donna Cannon and Nina Metzinger were given $10 in a savings account. The County road conditions were criticized at the Board of Supervisors meeting as being in the worst condition ever. And although the Board agreed that there need to be improvements, there was little hope that the problem would be alleviated very quickly.
