Assistant superintendent Gerald Lysik presented the school board with a report on index salary schedules at last week's board meeting in compliance with a request for the information made three months ago. The report shows current salaries paid to 25 different categories of school system employees as a percentage of this year’s $12,192 starting teacher pay, the base of the index scale.

Called Wednesday morning after the board meeting and asked for a copy of the document, Lysik said he had no problem in supplying the Rappahannock News with the material but added he first had to check with the superintendent and board chairman Beverly Massie.
