NAACP Branch To Meet The Rappahannock NAACP Branch will meet Friday. August 27. at 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church dining hall in Washington. All mem hers and interested persons are urged to attend.
Jenkins Reunion The annual reunion for the relatives and friends of the late Luther E. and Ada J. Jenkins will be held at the picnic area of Graves Mountain Lodge, Syria, on Sunday. August 22, from 10 until dark. All those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch, which will he served al 1 p.m.
Benefit Barbecue The Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor an outdoor barbecue on Saturday, September 4, beginning at 5:30 at the tire hall. The menu consists of homemade barbecue, hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad and beverages. Live entertainment will be provided throughout the evening.
Guest Speaker Dr. W. J. Bloomer of Culpeper w ill lie guest speaker at the 11 a.m. worship service at Rock Villa Mission, Sperryville. on Sunday. August 22. The public is invited.
Woman s Club To Meet The Rappahannock Woman's Club will meet Thursday, August 26 at 8 p.m. at the home of Sharon Ferrence in Amissville. Members are requested to bring both county and personal recipes to the meeting.
