Local Riders

At Clinic

Eight riders from Fauquier. Rappahannock and Warren counties attended the Third Annual Rappahannock 4-H Horse and Pony Club Three-Day August Clinic on the 10, II and 12 in Amissville. Daily morning and atternoon riding sessions covered proper position, basic paces, jumping, drill ride work, games and races. A mid-day break started with swimming followed by lunch and a lecturedemonstration. The latter included methods of giving medicines, common ailments and basic first aid.

Jane Naramore and Sherry Hamill. assisted by 4-H Junior Leader Brenda Lawrence, instructed Eric and Amy Wittle of Amissville and Michigan; John and Kathy Kassel, Hume; Candy Cosnett of New York, and Flint Hill’s Elizabeth Scherschel. while Jocelyn and Jeffery Beam were there trom Linden.
