Eastham noted * that Rappahannock currently ! pays VSBA 27 cents per ' student while the revision in dues will up the amount Fairfax County pays per student to just 2.7 cents per pupil. "Rappahannock County is being clobbered by these dues,” he maintained, i winning unanimous endorsement from the rest of the board for an alternate proposal that VSBA dues be levied in direct proportion to average daily membership.
After an executive session that crept a half hour passed the board’s self imposed adjournment deadlineof 11:30 p.m., Carolyn Butler was unanimously confirmed as an elementary school aide. An enrollment request was denied on the grounds that the applicant lived outside the county and chairman Massie reported that bus driver appointments were discussed and will be acted on after driving records and physical examinations are reviewed.
