Christening

Walton Lawson Dabney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wythe "Jack" Dabney of Flint Hill, was christened on Sunday, August 15. at the home of his parents.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Peter Weems of Alexandria, former pastor of the Rappahannock Methodist Charge.

The infant was named after his great-grandfather, W. A. Lawson, a building contractor in Flint Hill for 50 years.

Names as godparents were Wythe Dabney IV of Jessup. Pa., Herald Grandstess of Manassas and Norah Dabney of Arlington.

A reception followed with 35 present. Out-of-town guests were Sadie Renneberger of Hagerstow n, Md. and Reba Lawson Dabney of Arlington, formerly of Hint Hill.
