The News has, however, obtained a copy of the page on teachers’ salaries which applies an artificial index to show the relationship of wages on the existing, nonindexed pay scale. The remaining nine pages reportedly show salaries of non-cert ified staff, such as secretaries, aides, custodians, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers, as a percentage of this year’s first year teacher pay, using the same artificial index.
