Nettles Speaks
Lee Nettles, Director of the Rappahannock Mental Health Ginic, was a guest lecturer August 16 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, where he discussed The Disturbed and Unruly Patient and Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
Nettles spoke to students taking the Emergency Medical Technician . Course, which is currently being taught by Larry Genebach of Amissville at Fauquier Hospital. Also present were nurses, LPN’s, and several guests.
Nettles offered useful tips on how to deal with disturbed, demented or suicidal patients whom rescue personnel and hospital personnel may encounter.
He elicits student participation and encourages questions, and, as a result, Nettles has been in demand as a speaker at several EMT classes, and has built a reputation for giving interesting and informative talks, according to participants in the courses.
