Nelson Randolph Jenkins, 43, of Luray, died Tuesday, March 29, 1983, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
He was born August 26, 1939, in Rappahannock County and was a son of Connor Jenkins of Boston and the late Mary Sisk Jenkins. On December 5, 1970, he married Magadaline Thomas, who survives.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two stepson." James Thomas of Stanley and Billy Thomas of Lui. ,, three brothers, Frank Jenkins of Fairfax, George Jenkins of Culpeper and Richard Jenkins of Boston and two sisters, Maude Racer of Boston and Mary Atkins of Sperry ville.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday at Nethers Mill Lighthouse in Nethers Mills by the Rev. Charles Clinedinst. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery.
Bradley Funeral Home in Luray was in charge of arrangements.
Gospel Choir Performs
The choir of the James Cleveland chapter of the Gospel Workshop of America from Washington, D.C., will perform at the J.T. Henley Middle School in Crozet on April 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets, at $5 apiece, can be ordered by calling 977-8093. Proceeds will benefit the building fund of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Ivy.
