Christmas Greens Sale 'The Rappahannock County Garden Club is planning its fifteenth Annual Greens sale. This year’s Chairpeople are Mrs. Douglas Fairfax, Mrs. Andrew Pennington, and Mrs. H.W. Peterson. Members will make wreaths, garlands, and swags. Orders are now being taken by Mrs. C.E. Johnson, Jr. 987-8300, Mrs. Sidney Mank, 675-3244, and Mrs. Thomas Pillar, 987-8943. The deadline for orders is Saturday, December 7th.
Pesticide Recertification The Extension Service will be having a Pesticide Recertification on Friday, December 13th, at the Rappahannock Courthouse, begins ning at 1:30 p.m. Persons whose pesticide license expires in Dec., 1985, are urged to attend this session. The main certification test may be taken again by persons missing the session.
4-H Christmas Open House The date for the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center Christmas Open House has been set for December 8,1985,1:30 — 5:00 p.m. The Open House was moved to a Sunday afternoon to encourage family visits, especially the families of young people who participatei in the 4-H programs.
Country Manor open house Country Manor is having a Christmas open house on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30 and December 1, from 10-6 each day Featured events will be craft demonstrations to include basket weaving, stenciling, wreath making and bow making. Mulled cider and refreshments will be served.
