Taste fair planned

A taste fair will be held at Mountainside Market beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. Featured will be Heba’s Health foods and mid-Eastem cuisine.

Ladies Auxiliary to meet

Bingo at Castleton

Financial program

A Women’s Financial Information Program via satellite will be conducted in three locations in PD-9 (Culpeper, Warrenton and Orange) beginning the first week in March and run for eight weeks.

p.m.-9:15 p.m. at the Culpeper Extension Office or the Wednesday morning class, beginning March 4 through April 22 in Warrenton.

This is the same class on family finances that was conducted locally last fall with local speakers. The programs/speakers this spring will broadcast via satellite from Virginia Tech. Each participant will receive the same AARP workbook and educational handouts to supplement the speakers’ presentations. Registration is $10. Call 6753619 by Feb. 28 for a registration form or if you need additional information.

* Adult education course

An adult education course at Rappahannock High School will be held from 6 p.m.-9:30 p.m., starting March 11 and running for eight Wednesdays. Applications of microcomputing on the Macintosh will be the subject. Learn to use data processing, database and spreadsheet applications. Cost is $39. Call Rappahannock High School at 987-8575 to register.

Dance at Amissville

The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a Leap Year dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29. The band “Tarragon” will play. Proper dress and identification is required. For more information call 937-4357.
