a break-in Feb. 17, said Sheriff Woodward. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at $2,000.

• Arrests were made in two separate

marijuana possession cases by

Trooper S.M. Knick this week,

acconiing to Sgt. G.A. Morris of the State Police.

Robert Boulais, 27, of Cross Junction, Va. was pulled over by

Trooper Knick for speeding at 3 p.m. Feb. 21 on U.S. 211, one mile west of U.S. 522, according to Sgt. Morris.

During a consent search of Mr. Boulais’s 1985 Nissan pickup a bag of

suspected marijuana was found, said Sgt. Morris.

Sgt. Knick also pulled over John Richardson, 28, of Castleton, for improper

passing at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at Massies Corner, said Sgt. Morris. A consent search of a 1975 Chevy Nova revealed a bag of suspected marijuana.

He was charged with possession of marijuana, improper passing,

improper registration and defective

equipment, said Sgt. Morris.
