"As we celebrate this special season of the Christian Church our doors are open to all guests and to the community,” said Pastor Nancy B. White from Amissville United Methodist Church.,qp On Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. a Maundy Thursday service with communion will be held.
Friday afternoon there will be Easter egg/coloring at 2 p.m. in the social hall for the children. They then return on Saturday at 2 p.m. for an Easter story in the sanctuary and an egg hunt outside. ,
On Good Friday, April 1 we gather in the church at 7:30 p.m. to view “One Who Was There” a video on events of Jesus’s final days and things that followed alter his death,” said Pastor White.
Sunrise service is scheduled for 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning, April 3 on the grounds followed by breakfast in the social hall. Flutist, Allan Marlett, will play “Morning is Broken.”
Sunday School follows at 9:45 a.m. and them the Easter worship service at 11 a.m. “We will adorn the Easter Cross with flowers and place it on the lawn.” said Rev. White.
Rev. White and the congregation invite you to take part in the activities and to worship with us.
