Flea Market Planned
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department will be accepting flea market items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 24 at the fire hall for the upcoming flea market to be held on April 30. Anyone interested in table space or for additional information is urged to contact Karla Miller at 675-1677.
Benefit Bake Sale
Amissville United Methodist Church is holding the first of its fund-raisers to help with plans for the renovation of the sanctuary which is more than 100 years old. “We sould appreciate the community’s support,” said Rev. Nancy B. White.
A bake sale will be held at Giant Food Store in Warrenton starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 9. Cakes, brownies, cup ckaes, cookies and breads will be available.
Beekeepers To Meet
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its April meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at the Second National Bank Building, Old Dominion Shopping Center on Route 29 just north of Culpeper. The program for the evening will include how to start with beeds, where, when, why; swarm prevention and control; and techniques of spring management for a good honey crop.
