Laura Rickard

Laura J. “Dollie” Rickard, 66, of Front Royal died Thursday, March 24 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 27 at the Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Thompson.

Interment followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Rickard was bom March 13, 1928, in Flint Hill, daughter of the late Robert Edward and Frances Pullen Jones.

She was a member of the Front Royal United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Rickard; one daughter, Terri R. Whiteside of Centreville; one son, Dennis E. Leach of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Florence V. Jones of Front Royal; three brothers, Russell E. Jones of Winchester, Claude F. Jones of Lewisburg, West Va. and P. Dan Jones of Yuba City, Calif and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Eddie Rickard, Guy Whiteside, Kyle Jones, Kenneth Jones, Andy Robinson and Ray Polk.

Honorary pallbearers were Jep Pharaoh, Frank Hume and Dr. William Kerns.
